Parking

The car park fee is one of the most important sources of revenue for the park, with money from ticket sales going directly towards the upkeep of the park.  Permits are available for 3-12 months. Please visit our Parking page for more details.

Cafe

Grounds is an independent cafe serving hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, paninis and pastries.  They can also provide catering for your party or group booking.  Seating is available indoors, outside and on the balcony overlooking the lake.  In the summer they also serve gelato, drinks and snacks from their mini-café in the playground.  Please see their website for more details.

Playground

We have a large playground on-site as well as a natural forest area suitable for den building end exploring. There is a small adult exercise facility near the Orchard. Please ensure children are supervised at all times, you use the playgrounds at your own risk. No dogs are allowed within the playground area.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome so long as they are kept under control.  You can walk your dog off-lead anywhere north of the 13th public drain, which runs the length of the park.  Dogs must be on lead in all areas south of the drain.  Please see the park map for more details.  Please clean up after your dog using the bins provided.

We have a dog wash available in the car park, by the toilet block. This is provided in partnership with Polygon Pets

BBQ's and Fires

We have designated spaces for open fires at Milton Country Park and BBQs are allowed in specified areas. Please see our BBQ and Fire page for more details.

Bikes, E-Scooters and Drones

We welcome bicycles within the park, however all powered vehicles such as e-scooters, hoverboards, electric unicycles are banned. Drones must have permission from the office. Please Contact Us for more details.

Horses

Horses are welcome on our designated horse routes around the park when ridden responsibly. Please exercise extreme caution in our busy areas such as outside the cafe where dogs and small children are likely to be present. Please clean up after your animals.

Lost Property

All lost property should be handed into the park office, to the right of the Cafe. We hold most lost property for 1 month after it is handed in. Expensive or clearly precious items may be held for up to 3 months, so do get in touch. Contact us if you have lost anything around the park.

Getting Here

Bus

If you are travelling from Cambridge the bus to catch is the Citi 2 which stops outside Tesco.  The entrance to the park is at the bottom of the road opposite Tesco on the roundabout. Walk past the industrial units and the Milton Country Park car park is at the bottom of the road.

Park & Ride

Milton P&R is around 20 minutes walk from Milton Country Park. From the P&R walk across the A10 foot bridge and continue straight down Butt Lane. Turn right into the High Street and keep going until you reach the Tesco roundabout where you turn left.  The park is at the end of this road.

Bike

The park is just a few minutes from cycle route 11 which links Cambridge to Ely.  It is an attractive path following the river Cam path leading to Baits Bite lock.  When arriving in Milton via the river Cam towpath, follow Fen Road over the railway crossing. Just after the houses start there is an entrance to the park via a gate on your left.
